The morello cherry is a bitter sweet fruit indigenous to Asia Minor but which quickly spread throughout Europe and particulary Portugal, where it found soil and climatic conditions well adapted for its growth. The Ginja de Obidos liqueur was created by Benedictine monks and its recipe, was a well kept secret until, in the XIX century, the distillery of the Abbey that produced this conventual liqueur disappeared and the secret was revealed. Ginja de Obido, thanks to a carefull selection of the best fruit, a long infusion period and the absence of colourings or flavourings, in a carefull process defined by its high security standarts, all of which makes the experiance of savouring this liqueur a moment worthy of royalty. Ingredients: cherries, sugar, water, and fermented agricultural alcohol. This liqueur as a natural can leave sediments.Best served at 14ºc to 15ºC. The bottle as 0,70L and 20% alcool volume.
