Our Serrano ham has the coveted D.O., or guarantee of origin. The hams are produced in small quantities and cured in natural conditions. The ham has a sweet aroma and an intense flavour. The pig from Alentejo (Iberian) is descended from the wild boar that still exists in Portugal but is a protected species; they are the last swine race of pasture in Europe.
